So, not wanting to jinx anything, but the dark clouds hovering over me do seem to be disippating.

My husband contacted the insurance of the trenching company that placed the power line in our backyard. They're coming by tomorrow to take a look at the damage to our basement.

Nancy will be coming back a few days early so I can finally go back to working my second shift hours. I'm sorry morning people, I love you, I do, but I just don't function like that. Some of us are big while others are thin. Some of us like boys, others girls. And some of us rise at the crack of dawn, while others are just crawling between the sheets as the sun's coming up over the horizon. As much as I love sunrises and think they're wonderful to see, I'd much rather stay up all night to see one than go to bed early and wake up early to watch it.

I'm finally starting to accept my friend, Chris's, death. It's been hard, harder than I realized. I was in such shock at first that I told myself I wasn't even that close to her. But as the shock's warn off, I've realized that she was a good friend, that I will miss her dearly, but that just because I've lost things like being able to hang around in the back chatting with her about our days, doesn't mean everything else in my life has disappeared.

My cats are doing great. They did have fleas and are allergic to them. That's why they had such severe reactions. I bought $125 worth of flea meds for all my animals and washed all my bed sheets. They're back to their usual habits as though nothing was ever wrong.

I've switched to a new medicine that even has a generic this time and it's working fine so far.

Oh and the thing about walking out butt naked into my living room, in front of Aaron's friends. He still won't let it drop, but I guess that's what husbands are for.
